Practicum
A nine-month, September 2011 through
June 2012, supervised practicum at
the candidate’s school or another
school site more appropriate to the
candidate’s career and licensure
aspirations. ELI’s Practicum
Supervisor, in collaboration with
the Principal or Director/Supervisor
at the school site, assumes the mentoring
role during the candidate’s
practicum.

Seminar
A nine-month, September 2011 through
June 2012, seminar meeting Thursdays
4-8:00 PM, except for public and school
holidays, is a substantively-based
and reflective seminar accompanying
the practicum. It includes:
- OM 504 Organizational Strategy
and Design
- OM 537 Operational and Financial
Strategies
- OM 564 Leveraging Technology
- ELI 506 Parental and Community
Outreach
- OM 563 Research Strategies
At the completion of the practicum
seminar, candidates synthesize their
learnings and present them to their
Cohort peers, ELI faculty, and invited
practitioners. The presentation anticipates
candidates presenting their professional
portfolio to prospective employers.
